The Initial Consultation
When you come to our practice, the doctor will sit down and listen to what you have to say. You know your body best; we want to hear what’s happening from you. We’ll gather information about your condition, areas in your lifestyle which might affect the issue, and a detailed health history.
Our goal is to find the root cause of the problem and what the optimal course of care is for it. We’ll discuss your health goals and what you want to achieve from your care.
Next, you’ll receive a thorough neurological, orthopedic, and spinal assessment. We examine the area of concern to determine any additional links to other bones, joints, muscles, or nerves. We also do a full scoliosis and postural assessment at this time. If additional testing or scans are needed, they will be scheduled.
Unless otherwise indicated, you will receive some form of care today. The doctor will go over your test results with you, tell you what is happening, how we plan to address it, and what outcomes you can achieve. Please allow thirty minutes for this visit.
When You Return
Follow-up visits are scheduled according to your customised care plan. Our goal now is to provide you with the highest level of clinical care based on the latest research. We will map out things you need to do, and what to avoid, at home and at work.
Usually our patients need two through ten sessions depending on the severity of the problem and your goals. Our care includes a thorough rehab plan and home care exercises to prevent a recurrence. We want our patients to be happy and healthy for a lifetime.
